How can I start a business in the construction field from Rs. 10000?
To be successful in construction field, you need to have very, very, very strong marketing skills. You need to be able to sell not just what you build, but also the area/ locality you are building it on.
1. If you sense the potential of an area, where you can afford the land, buy it when it's available for peanuts.
2. Buy such a large area of land that promoters would be vying with you to buy the land. This will generate enough hype about the area/ locality. Until then, building anything would be impractical.
3. Once you have purchased heck a lot of land and given it enough publicity and notional demand, go sell a part of the land to the highest bidder.
4. With the money, you can lay the foundation for the flats.
5. Create advertisements about the area, bring in a few local govt officials to inspect the area.
6. Bring in a few surveyors and ask them to inspect the land. People would be curious to know for what.
7. When you've enough people inquiring about the area, say you're building apartments at the site.
8. If there are interested buyers, you can start the negotiations.
I know all this will take time, but oh well, you need to invest time, brains and money in any business to be successful.
I have started my own restaurant business, but I haven't a money backup to run my restaurant, so should I quit my job and run the business, or keep my day job?
1. Keep your day job.
2. Run the restaurant as a breakfast and dinner restaurant.
3. Have you identified the target customers?
4. Is it going to be for high end customers or normal middle class or lower income customers?
Can Pune surpass Mumbai economically in the coming 10 years or 50 years?
The reason Mumbai has grown and is still growing is because of its cosmopolitan nature. Pune on the other hand is less cosmopolitan with a large stress on Marathi manoos sentiment.
For any city to grow in India, with its diverse population, it has to attract the best of talent from all parts of the country and the world. Given Mumbai is known in the entire world, it is definitely the choice of talented people across the world.
Pune, no, it cannot surpass Mumbai, economically or otherwise in a zillion generations.
What made Pakistan to think that India is their enemy just after the partition?
India being a Hindu majority country, in 1947, had adopted to be secular democratic and republic nation. On the other hand, Pakistan, led by Muhammed Ali Jinnah, opted to be a Islamic republic.
The constant rivalry between Jinnah and Nehru in the years leading upto 1947 when the two nations became independent from the British rule, has led to view each other's nation with suspicion.
Also, Pakistan chose to ally with USA, while India made friends with USSR.
For a combination of reasons not limited to the above, Pakistan and India have remained enemies and will remain so.
Is there any kind of procedure for Statutory Compliance for medium scale business?
Have you already registered your company? If you've registered your company, you need to comply with all rules in Company Act, 2013. If not registered, you better register your company. Just curious - what kind of medium scale business do you've? Is it an online business that can be done from home? Is there a factory and more than 10 employees? Do you know that you've to make a contribution to PF as employer? How many directors does your company have? If it has only one director, you'd have registered as OPC which calls for fewer compliances. Most of the compliances demanded of companies are w.r.t. financial auditing, reporting, payment of taxes and other dues to govt. agencies.others relate to capturing decisions made.
What is valuation? Is it possible to get this done on the basis of an idea/primary data itself?
Valuation is basically evaluating the idea to determine the ROI of an idea.
Yes, it is possible but the primary data can be used to make a projection.
What is your idea based on? A market need, a business challenge, a social problem or a regulatory issue?
You would need to define the idea further to be better at valuation.
My father recently lost his private job and now he is not getting any job. What business can we start to make more money, as we don't have a lot of money to start a new business?
On any day, business is better than a job in a private or public company or even the government. A few reasons for this are inflation, job insecurity, financial insecurity etc.
Businesses are invariably started for profit. They may even start to make profit but they may eventually fail because of not clearly identified missions.
Now, you need to answer a few questions to be able to help you better:
1. Do you live in a densely populated area?
2. Do you own land where you can setup a shop?
3. Do you have certain missions to accomplish in life?
4. Have you thought of setting up a grocery, provisions store or a tea stall? These are two easy options to begin with.
5. Can he train youngsters with the skills acquired from his job?
